CU Cannabiz Conference and the Coronavirus

The continuing spread of the coronavirus has had a major impact on our ability to hold the CU Cannabiz Conference, April 5 – 8, 2020 at the Hilton Palmer House in Chicago. We have determined that it is now impossible to conduct the event because of a variety of circumstances all related to the virus outbreak in the United States.

The Hilton Palmer House Hotel has not been able to provide us with information on steps they are taking to assure appropriate safety. Major airlines are reducing and canceling flights into Chicago. The Governor of Illinois, J. B. Pritzker has said  “I wish I could tell you that going about your everyday lives with no adjustments was the best course of action right now. It is not”.  We have also heard from many attendees and exhibitors that they are under travel restrictions. For these and many other practical reasons relating to safety of our attendees, including a Presidential declaration of a National State of Emergency, we will not be holding this event.

Look for your registration refund next week.  Please contact the hotel directly to cancel your room reservation.

We thank you for your support and believe very strongly this is an important topic for discussion in the credit union community. Unfortunately, this does not appear to be the time to have that discussion.
